Louis A. Hebbelinck, Sr. – Methuen, MA

Louis A. Hebbelinck, Sr. 73, died Saturday morning April 3, 2021 at his home in Methuen, MA. He was born in Lawrence, MA on April 8, 1947 to the late Marcel and Miriam (Friedrich) Hebbelinck. He was a graduate of Lawrence High School Class of 1964. 

Following his graduation Louie was employed at Malden Mills for several years as a pipe fitter before leaving to work for the Essex County Sheriff’s Department where he retired in 2012 after 27 years of service as a Deputy Sheriff.

He enjoyed traveling with his wife of 54 years, Alison. The couple visited many countries including Thailand, Italy, Greece, Rio and Germany.  They also took several cruises to the Caribbean. He enjoyed playing cards with friends and family and loved to watch and attend local auto racing events. In his younger years he spent countless hours donating his time as a coach of Pop Warner football where he enjoyed coaching his sons and other local youth. He was member of the Lawrence Elks Lodge 65, the Men of Merrimack as well as the Holy Family Men’s Guild.

Louie is survived by his wife, Alison (Andrews) Hebbelinck of Methuen, MA, his sons, Louis A. Hebbelinck II his wife Melinda and their son Louis III of Newburyport, MA, Derek M. Hebbelinck his wife Carrie and their children Aaron Routses and his wife Rachel, Demetria, Ashton, and Axel of Danvers, MA, Marc L. Hebbelinck his wife Karen and their children, Tayla Beauregard and her husband Jeffrey, Marc Anthony, and Kailey of Methuen, MA.  His great-grandchildren, Mia and Ava Beauregard and his sisters, Paula Cashman and Marcy Yameen also survive him.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to calling hours on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm at the Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated, Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at 10:00 am, in Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish at St. Theresa’s Church, 22 Plymouth St., Methuen, MA 01844.  The Funeral Mass will be live-streamed at olgcparish.com. Everyone is requested to please meet the family at the church. Burial will follow the Mass in the Bellevue Cemetery, 170 May St, Lawrence, MA 01841.
