Lorraine (Ameen) Recupero
Loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt

Lorraine (Ameen) Recupero, 92, of Deltona, Florida, formerly of Lawrence, died peacefully on Monday, May 18th at home with her loving Son by her side. Lorraine was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore “Sam” Recupero who died January 19, 2004.

Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, December 9, 1927, the daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Gabriel) Ameen, she attended Lawrence schools and was a graduate of Lawrence High School with the Class of 1945.

Before retiring, Lorraine was employed as a seamstress at Hanscom Field in Bedford for many years as well as being a full-time homemaker.

Lorraine was a member of St. Anthony Maronite Church in Lawrence.

Among her many interests, she enjoyed cooking, sewing, painting, playing cards, and watching baseball.

Her family members include her daughter Lucille Conrardy and her husband Theodore of Montgomery, IL; her son Steven Recupero and his wife Tiffany of Dracut; Her two Daughters-in-Law Carolyn (Cooki) Guide and Susan Recupero Lorraine also leaves fifteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Barbara Ameen of Methuen, MA and Deannie Ameen of Andover, MA and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. She was predeceased by her sons, Salvatore Recupero and David Recupero.

Services will be private. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery, Lawrence.
