Lillian Lavoie Obituary

Lillian M. (Dumais) Lavoie completed her earthly journey at home on January 29, 2021 and is now at rest in the arms of her kind and loving Saviour.

She lived 94 years experiencing many tremendous joys and blessings.

Lillian was the owner/ manager of Bernie’s Beauty Salon in Lawrence, MA prior to her marriage and the start of her new career as homemaker and mother. Lillian was born in Somersworth, NH.and lived her adult life in Methuen, MA. She graduated from St Joseph High School and the Lawrence Academy of Beauty Culture.

She was an avid gardener in the summertime and the many gardens around her home reflected the love and attention she devoted to her flowers. In the winter months her dozens of houseplants kept her busy until the springtime would beckon her outdoors once again. By keeping her many bird feeders filled to the brim, she attracted many colorful visitors year round and some of the birds repaid her by bringing wild flower seeds to add beauty and color to her gardens.

Lillian will be remembered for her kind heart, generous spirit, and loving nature.

She is survived by her husband Gerard of 73 years; three daughters, Susan Daley and her husband Wilfred of Seabrook, NH., Elaine Incorvaia and her husband John of Wake Forest, NC., Michele Blanchard and her partner, Kim of Buzzards Bay, MA., and one son David Lavoie of Methuen, MA. Lillian was a loving grandmother and great grandmother to eight grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
