Lillian Roy Grzejka

Lillian (Roy) Grzejka 94, of Lawrence passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Mary Immaculate Nursing and Restorative Center, surrounded by her loving family.. Always a free spirit, “Lil,” as she was known, will be remembered for her sharp wit by her family and friends. She even traveled internationally by herself before marriage.

After 33 years at the former Western Electric/AT&T Network Systems, she and her husband, Frank traveled overseas a lot and visited their grandchildren, definitely enjoying their retirements.  Lillian was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Lawrence until its closing. Frank passed away in 2002, after fifty years of marriage.

Born in Lawrence in 1926 she just celebrated her 94th birthday a few weeks ago. Lillian was one of seven children and the youngest born to the late Mari-Ange and Origene Roy. 

Her family members include her sons, Dr. Francis Grzejka and his wife, Diane of Atkinson, NH, Thomas Grzejka of Atkinson, NH, and her daughter, Jeanne Fell of Port Charlotte, Florida. She also leaves four grandchildren Daniel Fell, Sharon Fell Ewell, Katherine Grzejka and Rachel Grzejka. Lillian also was a great-grandmother to Emerson Ewell and also leaves many nieces and nephews in the area, including Catherine Niziak with whom she was especially close.
