Kim M. Despres – Lawrence, MA

Kim M. Despres, 67, of Lawrence, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, October 31st, 2023.

Kim was the first born of seven children of Raymond and Augustina (Cottone) Despres. Born and raised in Lawrence, MA, she was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Class of 1975. 

Kim was a Jack of all trades, with a hidden talent for being very crafty. Over her lifetime she held many different positions in workplaces, including the IRS, Raytheon, and most recently the U.S. Post Office. 

Kim enjoyed the simple things in life, sharing a good laugh, watching her Youtube videos, and loving on all animals. One of her biggest joys in life was spending quality time with her loving family, who will miss her so dearly.    One of her most recent delights was watching her great-niece, Sadie AKA her “boo-boo” every week. Kim was always up for a spontaneous day trip to the beach or mountains, or a nice weekend getaway with her siblings. They have so many beautiful memories to look back on, that will be cherished forever. Kim will be remembered for her kind heart, and infectious laugh. 

Kim leaves behind her four children, Jessica, Joshua, James, and Jonathan; three grandchildren, Isaiah, Joshua, and Giuliana; her siblings Raymond Despres and his wife Ann, Eileen Paradis and her husband Gil, Elaine Hanson and her husband Michael, Diane Paris, Laurie Hoyt, and Jean Despres. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews whom she loved so dearly. Kim is held closely in the hearts of each of her family members and will be missed greatly.

Kim was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Augustina (Cottone) Despres, and her brother in law, Dana Hoyt. 

Calling hours are Monday, November 6, 2023 from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at Dewhirst Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated following the calling hours at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Parish, 118 South Broadway, Lawrence, MA 01843.
