Kathleen M. Moccia

Kathleen M. (Houle) Moccia, 57 of North Andover, Massachusetts passed away from a brief illness on April 7, 2023. She went peacefully with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of 24 years to Leo A. Moccia. 

Born on June 16, 1965, in Lawrence, Massachusetts, the daughter of Florence H. (Hargreaves) Houle and the late Richard E. Houle, she attended Lawrence schools and graduated from Greater Lawrence Regional Vocational Technical High School in 1984. 

Among her many interests, Kathy enjoyed playing board games, genealogy, and sewing class where she would make clothes, face masks, pillows, and blankets to donate to those in need. She was a long-time member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. 

Kathy loved spending time with family and friends. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Charles J. Hollon of Kingsport, TN, and Sara E. Moccia of N. Andover. siblings, Brenda S. (Houle) Hannigan (William) of Florida, Richard J. Houle of N. Andover, Jason R. Houle (Kate) of Alton, NH, and Jennifer E. (Houle) Allen (Carl) of Methuen, MA., Aunts, Uncles, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

She was predeceased by her sister Linda J. (Houle) St. Louis. 

The family thanks the staff of Mill Town Health and Rehabilitation, Amesbury, and Anna Jaques Hospital for the loving care and compassion they provided Kathy. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to The Lazarus House Good Shepherd Center, at www.lazarushouse.org.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday, April 17, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 39 Hill St. Methuen, Massachusetts, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Services begin at 11:00 am, under the direction of Bishop David Bursell.

The Interment and Committal service will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Grove St. Methuen.
