Kathleen M. Foster

Kathleen M. (McCabe) Foster, 89, passed on June 10th in Magnolia, Texas at Ranch Lake Assisted Living after a long, brave battle with cancer.

Kathleen was born on January 20, 1936 in Methuen, MA. to Margaret and John McCabe. She was predeceased by her husband Bruce G. Foster, her sons: Bruce and Brian, and her sister Margaret Jewell. She leaves behind her son and his spouse Tina and Paul A. Foster; one granddaughter and her spouse Stacey and Parker D. Hewitt; and three great grandchildren - Trevor, Derek and Elsie.

Kathleen was a longtime resident of Lawrence, Massachusetts. She graduated from Saint Mary's High School and took classes at Bryant-McIntosh College. She worked at Gilette in Andover, MA. and worked as a medical transcriptionist at Dr. Ganem's office and Arrigg Eye and Ear Associates. She loved to play cards as well as bingo, was an avid reader of mysteries and suspenseful novels and she enjoyed bowling. She cheered for the Patriots and the Red Sox. Kathleen moved to Texas in 2021 to be closer to her family and she embraced the warmer climate and lack of snow.

Family and friends are invited to an hour of visitation on Monday June 23, 2025 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Dewhirst Boles Funeral Home 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA. 01844. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 am on Monday at St. Patrick's Church 118 S. Broadway, Lawrence, MA. 01843. Burial will be in St Mary Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence.
