Julia "Julie" C. Morley

Julia “Julie” C. (Stanavich) Morley, 97, of North Andover, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Lawrence General Hospital.

The daughter of the Late Julius J. and Tafila (Marcinonis) Stanavich, Julie was born in Lawrence, MA on September 22, 1925.  She was a graduate of Lawrence High School.  She was employed in the Accounting Departments for several area textile mills for several years.  She met the love of her life, Harold Morley, Jr., and they married in 1950.  They moved to North Andover in 1956, and raised their four children, John, Mark, Susan and Gail.  They eventually resided in North Andover during the summer and Siesta Key, Florida for the remainder of the year.

Julie was a very social person who loved to be with family and friends.  A devout Catholic, Julie was a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers, and an active parishioner of both the former St. Francis Church of Lawrence, and St. Michael’s Church in North Andover.  Julie loved animals, enjoyed cooking her Lithuanian meals, knitting and doing puzzles.

Predeceased by her husband, Harold Morley, Jr., and son, John Morley, Julie is survived by a son, Mark Morley (Steve) of Cambridge, MA, and daughters, Susan Daly (James) of Gardner, MA, and Gail Hinte (Jim) of Raleigh, NC.  She also leaves her dear cousin, Ann Collins, her brother-in-law, Robert Morley and his children (Chris, Linda, and Robin), her nephew, Len Briggs, and her beloved cat, Francis.  Julie was also predeceased by her brother, John Stanavich and her sister, Stella Short.

The family would like to thank the staff of Stone Hill in Andover for providing friendship, comfort, security and support over the past three years to Julie.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to calling hours on Monday, February 27, 2023, from 9:30  a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Dewhirst and Boles funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.  A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, February 27, 2023, in St. Michael’s Church, 196 Main St., No. Andover, MA 01845.  Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence, MA.
