Joseph D. Butryn

Joseph D. Butryn, 78 of Methuen passed away on Thursday April 25, 2024 at Holy Family Hospital, Methuen.

Mr. Butryn was born on May 4, 1945 in Zanesville, Ohio. Before retirement, Joe worked, for 30 years, as a material handler at Malden Mills, Lawrence. He served with The US Navy aboard The USS Wasp aircraft carrier. He was a member and past commander of VFW Post # 1549 of Lawrence.

Joseph’s family members include his loving wife Cecelia, his son Erik, his daughter-in-law Kerry and his grandchildren Sonny and Matthew. He also leaves his sister Martha and many nieces. He was predeceased by his son Mark.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday May 2, 2024 from 2 pm to 6 pm at the Dewhirst Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen. A Funeral Mass will be on Friday May 3 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish at St. Augustine Chapel 128 Ames St., Lawrence, MA.
