On January 12 God took our beloved husband, father, and Grampy to live with him.
Larry Gorham of Methuen, MA was born on October 8, 1940 the son of Frederick L Gorham and Gertrude (Conley) Gorham Nicora, He died peacefully after a short illness at High Pointe House in Haverhill, MA.
To know Larry was to love him. He was a kind, giving man who always wanted family and friends around him. When he was able, he would plant flowers, vegetables, and his beloved caladiums that he would order from Florida. He also brought joy through the years by playing St. Nick in the Methuen Santa Parade. One of his favorite pastimes was sitting on his screened porch gossiping with pals Paul, Joe, Phil, and Tom. He also enjoyed playing bridge, poker, and 45’s with various good friends every week. He loved talking on the phone. He had numerous (girl) friends he chatted with and kept in touch with. They will all miss his calls.
In 1968 he worked at Essex Savings Bank where he met and later married his wife “The lovely Veronica” as he would always introduce her. He helped her over a snow bank(ing) on her first day of work and they had a wonderful 54 years of marriage.
He is survived by their children Lauren Fritchy, wife of Timothy, their son Frederick, along with his adored grandchildren, Logan and Haley Fritchy and Mia Ali Gorham, who were the loves of his life. They are all left with fond and happy memories of him and how much he cherished and was proud of each one of them.
He was predeceased by his mother Gertrude, his father Frederick, his brothers Frederick, Richard, and Michael, as well as his stepfather William Nicora.
Our deeply loved and adored Larry will leave a void in our lives that can never be filled. We shall pray for him in Heaven to watch over us all and bless all who love him.
