John Doyle Obituary

John J. “Jack” Doyle – Methuen, MA

John J. Doyle, known to all as Jack, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026, at the age of 89—just one day before his 90th birthday. He was the beloved son of the late Viola and James T. Doyle and was predeceased by his sister, Sister Mary Bernadette Doyle, D.C., and his brother, James F. Doyle.

Jack is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Lynda J. (Doyle) Killeen and her husband Greg of Hampstead, NH; his son, Shean B. Doyle and his wife Patricia of Methuen; and his cherished grandchildren, Nicholas Doyle and his wife Angela, Kayla (Doyle) Corsetti and her husband John, and Ryan Doyle and his wife Tori. He was a proud great-grandfather to Owen, Ryleigh, Grayson, Aria, Peyton Doyle, and Daniel Corsetti. He is also survived by extended family members Alice Archambault and her husband Todd, Daniel and Norman Elliott.

A graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1953, Jack went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from New Hampshire College and a graduate degree in Human Behavior from Newport University. He also received a certificate in Counseling from Rutgers University. Jack was a proud Veteran of the Korean War.

Jack devoted his professional life to helping others. He worked at Lawrence General Hospital and Lowell General Hospital and later served as Director of the Alcohol and Drug Dependency Program at Hampstead Hospital. He concluded his career in Nashua, NH, where he continued to support individuals facing dual dependency challenges.

Throughout his life, Jack held a special fascination with the circus world and enjoyed traveling with various shows. He was also the author of two books, Echoes of My Past and Medjugorje – Where Heaven Meets Earth, reflections of his faith, experiences, and lifelong curiosity. Following his retirement, Jack fulfilled a dream of living in Ireland for several years while researching his family history, where he was delighted to discover many relatives still residing in Counties Sligo and Roscommon.

Jack will be remembered for his curiosity, his compassion for those in need, and his deep love for family

There are no calling hours and the burial will be private.
