John “Slush” Celia – North Andover, MA

John “Slush” Celia, age 52 of North Andover, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at the Nevins Home in Methuen, MA.  He was born on July 5, 1972 in Lawrence, MA the son of Joseph and Lenore (Cloonan) Celia.

“Slush” was an avid fisherman who loved cooking and the outdoors. He enjoyed watching classic movies and had an infectious laugh. He was funny and had an adventurous spirit. He will always be remembered as someone who was kind, loving and had a big heart.

He is survived by his daughter, Anabella Celia, his mother, Lenore Celia, brother Joseph Celia, sister, Katie Danella and husband Jason, sister, Joanna Hale and husband Cam. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews; Lauren and Joseph Celia, Anthony and Joshua Danella and Caeden Hale. Many aunts, uncles, cousins and lots of close friends also survive him. He was pre-deceased by his father, Joseph Celia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Augustine Chapel, 128 Ames Street, Lawrence, MA 01841. Please meet the family at the church.
