John J. Bush Jr., 57, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully on July 5, 2023 in his home in Methuen, MA. John Jr., son of John and Kathleen Bush (Maguder), was born and grew up in Lawrence, MA and lived in Newton, NH for much of his adult life. He was a certified Harley Davidson mechanic, and had a career as a Computer Engineer. He grew up in Sacred Heart Church Parish in Lawrence, MA, and continued to have a deep faith in God throughout his life.
John loved all things Harley, and was a regular at bike week in both Laconia, NH and Sturgis, SD. His love language was cooking for others, especially Polish food, and he put ketchup and hot sauce on everything. John was an excellent hockey player growing up, and was a devout Bruins fan his whole life. Above all else, John was a true family man and friend. He was wonderful with kids, and his greatest accomplishment in life was being a father. John loved the beach and the White Mountains, fishing with his kids and nephews, and spending time with the whole Bush crew. His sense of humor, in addition to his intellect, allowed John to make friends with so many people that he crossed paths with, from all walks of life. John is loved by a multitude of friends and family, and he will be dearly missed.
John is survived by his children John J. Bush III and Kasey E. Bush, and their mother, Karen E. Bush; his sisters, Mary Beth Haggerty, Jo -Ann Morley, Caroline Chretien, Kathleen Zappala, and Martha McGuire; as well as a large bunch of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and a great nephew; and countless friends. John is predeceased by his loving parents, John and Kay, many aunts and uncles, and a cousin he considered a brother, Christopher Maguder. A father of two, but a dad of many.
