Joan I. (Hubbard) Geary Fluet, 89, of Derry, New Hampshire, formerly of Methuen, MA and Salem, NH, and Boca Raton Fl. passed away peacefully at Bedford Hills Center in Bedford, NH on Sunday, February 13, 2022.
The daughter of the late John H. and Irene L. (Dawe) Hubbard, Joan was born in North Andover, MA on May 22, 1932. She was educated in North Andover schools. Joan was employed for many years as a sales clerk at the former Sears, Roebuck and Company store at the Methuen Mall. Later, she was employed as a data entry operator for the Internal Revenue Service at the Andover Service Center, from where she retired. She resided in Methuen and Salem, NH for most of her life. She enjoyed all types of crafts and decorating, travelling and camping. She was an avid Square Dancer, being a member of the Town Travellers. Most of all, Joan enjoyed spending time with her family.
Joan was predeceased by her husbands, George L. Geary and Raymond Fluet, and is survived by her children: Richard L. Geary and partner Manon Fournier of Salem, NH, David J. Geary and partner Patricia Fluet of Sebring, FL, Linda J. Laorenza and husband Thomas of Sebring, FL, Lynn C. Veilleux and husband Raymond of Derry, NH, and Joann L. Moore and partner James Stevens of Brookville, FL; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 3 great, great grandchildren. Joan was predeceased by her grandson, Nicholas Geary.
Private Funeral Services will take place and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
