It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jeffrey Jovell, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished abuelo, and beloved brother. Jeffrey passed away on Wednesday, June 10, at Lawrence General Hospital, leaving behind a family and community who will miss him dearly.

Born in Methuen, Massachusetts, on October 4, 1955, Jeff lived a life defined by hard work, dedication, and love for his family. He was an electrician throughout his life and took great pride in his profession. One of his greatest joys was passing down his knowledge, skills, and work ethic to his oldest son, continuing a family tradition that meant so much to him.

Jeff was the loving husband of Escolastica Jovell for 29 years, a devoted father to his daughters and sons, and a proud abuelo who treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren. He was also a caring brother and loyal friend whose kindness, wisdom, and sense of humor touched many lives.

Jeff’s family is heartbroken by his passing, but they take comfort in the countless memories he leaves behind and the love he shared so freely with those around him. His legacy will live on through his family, the lessons he taught, and the lives he influenced.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 17, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dewhirst Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 18, at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Mary’s of The Assumption Church, 300 Haverhill Street, Lawrence, MA 01840. Burial will follow the Funeral Mass in Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.

Jeff will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
