Jeanne Demers Obituary

Jeanne A Demers, 83, a long time Methuen resident passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s on November 18, 2022 at Greystone Farm in Salem, NH.  Jeanne was predeceased by her husband Al.  Jeanne and Al celebrated 52 years of marriage, with six children.  She was born in Methuen, MA on July 1, 1939 to the late Gerard and Laura (Berube) Lavoie.

Jeanne was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Jeanne’s soul mate was her husband Al and she loved him immensely.  Being with her family was what Jeanne loved most of all.   She did not miss any event or game centered around her children and especially her grandchildren.  Jeanne loved traveling with Al, especially their trips to Alaska, Hawaii, Yellowstone, the Canadian Rockies and Germany.  Loving and enjoying nature was her passion.  Many of her children’s memories center around nature walks at Massabesic Lake in New Hampshire.  Jeanne loved to dance and sing.  If there was a song playing, Jeanne would be tapping her toe and humming the tune.  Jeanne’s happy place was Florida.  After retirement Jeanne and Al loved spending their winters in Florida as “Snow Birds”.  Jeanne was pre-deceased by her loving grandson, Aaron, and is probably making him pizza in the snack master while they watch The Price is Right.  She loved her “Big Guy”.

Jeanne is survived by her daughter Debra and her husband Gary Zabierek, her son Michael Lawrence and his wife Kathleen, her son Christopher Lawrence and his wife Michelle, her daughter Donna and her husband David DeLuca, her daughter Denise Lawrence, her son Dennis Demers, her grandchildren Ashley Chester and her husband John, Alyssa Carsanaro and her wife Arianna, Jared Lawrence and his wife Cherilyn, Joshua Lawrence, Ricky DeLuca, Livia Lawrence, Breena Lawrence, her great grandchildren, Mikaela and Johnny Chester and Aaron A. and Asher Carsanaro.   Jeanne also leaves  her sisters Theresa Collier, and Louise Poley, and her brothers Rene Lavoie and his wife Jean,  and Frank Lavoie and his wife Nancy.

Besides her husband and her grandson, Aaron K. Zabierek, Jeanne was predeceased by her brother Gerard Lavoie.
