Jean E (Daley) Driscoll

Jean Elizabeth (Daley) Driscoll, 84, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer.

The daughter of the Late George and Dorothy (Corbett) Daley, Jean was born in Tewksbury, MA on September 14, 1938.  Educated in Lowell schools, Jean remained a resident of the Merrimack Valley area for most of her life.  She was retired, but often reminisced about the days when she owned a jewelry and a gift shop by Salisbury Beach.  She loved video games, gardening, bird watching and Dunkin’ Donuts coffee.

She always loved a good joke.  She was the type of person who made friends everywhere she went.  She loved meeting new people and was a natural and genuine conversationalist.  She also loved traveling and often talked about her various adventures.  Anyone who knew her, knew she was an individual far too interesting to be contained to a few paragraphs.

Predeceased by her husband, James E. Driscoll, Jean was the loving mother of four children, James Driscoll of Methuen, MA, Judy Torrissi and her husband Ray of Salem, NH, Jay Driscoll of Haverhill, MA, and Jennifer Kanan  of Methuen, MA. Jean was the proud Nana of five grandchildren, Casey Torrissi, Courtney Pereira, Jayson Driscoll, Alyssa and Brianna Kanan.  She will be forever loved by her extensive family, many friends and the countless people who were fortunate enough to meet her.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to calling hours on Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12 Noon at the Dewhirst and Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.  A Funeral Service will follow at 12 Noon at the Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen, MA.
