Janusz Dziedzic Obituary

Janusz Lech Dziedzic – Methuen, MA

Janusz Lech Dziedzic, 66, passed away peacefully at his home in Methuen, MA, on July 20th, surrounded by his loving wife and sons after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on March 26, 1959, in Jedwabne, Poland, to Leon and Zofia (Lempicka) Dziedzic, Janusz spent his early years working on a dairy farm in Przestrzele, where he developed a deep love for nature and a strong work ethic. In 1984, he met and married the love of his life, Ewa, and together they built a life rooted in hard work, family, and resilience. In 2001, they immigrated to the United States with their two sons, seeking new opportunities and a brighter future. Janusz initially worked for his brother’s painting company while living in Lawrence, MA, and soon after established his own construction business. In 2004, the family moved to Methuen, where Janusz took pride in renovating their home with his signature craftsmanship and care.

Janusz was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in hunting, fishing, and meticulously maintaining his lawn. He had a large personality and a unique way of connecting with others; whether offering practical advice, sharing an off-beat Polish joke, or simply lending a helping hand. His warmth, humor, and authenticity left a lasting impression on neighbors, friends, and customers alike.

Above all, Janusz’s greatest joy was his beloved grandson, Leon. Whether cheering from the sidelines at soccer games, playing cards, or sharing snuggles and naps, Janusz’s love for Leon was boundless and unmistakable. He often said that being a grandfather was his life’s greatest blessing, and his face would light up at the mere mention of Leon’s name. Their bond was filled with laughter, wisdom, and unwavering love; a legacy that will live on in Leon’s heart forever.

Janusz is survived by his devoted wife, Ewa; his sons, Tomasz, Piotr and wife Tiana (Pignone), and his cherished grandson, Leon. He also leaves behind four brothers, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends and neighbors who enriched his life and were fortunate to know him.

Janusz now joins his beloved parents, Leon and Zofia; his brother, Zbigniew; his in-laws, Teresa and Edmund Komosinska; and several dear friends who went before him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
