Janet Helen Frasca

Janet H. Frasca, 68, of Haverhill, MA, passed away peacefully on the morning of Thursday, October 20, 2022, in her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Janet was born April 18, 1954 in Lawrence, MA to the late Thomas and Ruth (Phair) Gouldsbrough and was the oldest of 4 children. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School and went on to become a paraprofessional for the Lawrence Public Schools where she loved and was loved by the many children she serviced and spent her days with. This career spanned over 39 years.

Janet's unwavering love for her daughter Amy and granddaughter Janasia knew no bounds. They were her world and brought her endless joy and happiness every day.

The beach was always a favorite spot for Janet and her husband Jim. They had many wonderful adventures at the seacoast over the years and this past August were able to spend a joyful week with their family and kindhearted cousins Kathi Minahan and Gail Miranda at Salisbury Beach.

Janet was also an avid needlepoint and crochet hobbyist. She has made numerous beautiful and unique handmade items for family and friends to enjoy for many years to come.

Holidays, summer cookouts, birthday parties, and graduations, would always find Janet celebrating with her "bonus" families at the McDermott/Stoney compound and the homes of her much loved nieces Jaime Janda and Amanda Mills. She loved these family get togethers!

And least we forget, Janet's passion for BINGO! Many friendships and memories were forged during those fun filled nights, going back over 40 years to where she first met her future husband!

Janet is survived by her devoted husband of 46 years James C. Frasca, her beloved daughter & best friend Amy L. Frasca, her cherished granddaughter Janasia R. Frasca and longtime family friend Janasia's father Luis Jimenez Jr. She also leaves her sister Ruthann Stoney and husband James of Lawrence, MA and brothers Thomas Gouldsbrough and his wife Pamela of Sandown, NH and John Gouldsbrough and his wife Cynthia of Haverhill, MA, several nieces and nephews, and many dear cousins and faithful friends.

Fly high on Angel's wings our sweet Janet, you will be missed and thought of often by all who knew and loved you.

A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 1:00PM at the Dewhirst Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA. Family and friends may call prior to the service from 11:00AM to 1:00PM. Burial will be private.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the doctors, nurses & staff at Dana Farber Cancer Center and Care Dimensions Hospice Services for the wonderful care Janet received during her illness. We are truly grateful.
