Irene M. Frontain

Irene Marie Frontain, 80, of Methuen, MA, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on June 5, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Sadie (Carty) Flinn and William Flinn. She lived in Quinan, Nova Scotia before getting married and moving to Massachusetts with her husband.

For 50 years, Irene was the loving wife of Joseph “Billy” Frontain. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed traveling and always cherished spending time with her family. Irene will be remembered as a strong woman who could handle anything life threw her way. She battled with incredible grace through a stroke that later caused blindness and memory loss, facing every challenge with strength and dignity.

Irene is survived by her four children: Kim Frontain and her husband, Scott Morrison, of Fairbanks, AK; Kevin Frontain of Methuen, MA, and his former wife, Lisa Frontain, of Wilmington, MA; Deanna Conde and her partner, Donald Anderson, of Derry, NH; and Scott Frontain of Manchester, NH. She was a proud grandmother of eight grandchildren: Nick Nemethy, Tori Nemethy, Brianna McGrath, Cody Frontain, Zach Frontain and his wife, Lauren, Katelyn Frontain, Lauren Frontain, and Lindsey Frontain.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Sunday, September 14, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Dewhirst Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA. A short religious service will be held immediately following the visitation.
