Irene R. (Bush) Carver

Irene R. (Bush) Carver, 85, of Methuen, passed away peacefully at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill on Thursday November 17, 2022, with her family at her side.

 The daughter of the late Matthew and Josephine (Balavitch) Bush, Irene was born in Lawrence on January 18, 1937.  She attended Lawrence schools and was a graduate of Lawrence High School.  She was employed at the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune for 36 years as accounts manager, a job she loved, retiring at the age of 76.  She was an active member of the former St. Francis Parish of Lawrence, and was very active with the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. After the closing of St. Francis in 2002, she became a member of Holy Rosary Parish of Lawrence, later Corpus Christi Parish, where she was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality.  Irene resided in Methuen for over 60 years.  Irene enjoyed spending time at the beach, taking care of her dog, Todd, but most of all spending time with her family. 

 Irene was predeceased by her husband, Raymond P. Carver, her son Andrew Carver, and her brother, Ronald Bush.  She is survived by her son, Paul Carver and his wife Denise. her daughter, Julie Robichaud and her husband Stephen, a son, Christopher Carver and his wife Gail, a daughter-in-law, Priscilla Carver, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and several cousins.

 Relatives and friends are cordially invited to calling hours on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Dewhirst Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary Shrine, 35 Essex St., Lawrence, MA 01840.  Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery , Lawrence.
