Inez G. (Fitzpatrick) Reid

Inez G. (Fitzpatrick) Reid, 97, of Methuen passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, September 11, 2023, with her family.

The daughter of the late Leonard and Rhena M. (Ritter) Fitzpatrick, Inez was born in Lawrence on February 15, 1926, and was educated in Lawrence and Methuen schools.  She was employed for the American Woolen Company as a textile mender.  She was a lifelong resident of the Greater Lawrence area.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing Keno with her friend, Roberta Mills, going out to lunch with family and friends, and especially family get-togethers.

Predeceased by her two husbands, Frank C. Holopitza and Joseph J. Reid, Jr., Inez is survived by her daughter, Gayle F. Champagne of Methuen; grandchildren, Melisa B. Giles of Methuen, Stephanie Blackburn of KY, and Glenn A. Holopitza, Jr. of CA; great grandchildren, Emily E. Giles and Trevor H. Giles, both of Methuen; Cody Crockett and Mitchell Crockett of KY and a brother Fernald J. Fitzpatrick as well as several nieces and nephews.

Inez was predeceased by her son, Glenn A. Holopitza.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to calling hours on Monday, September 18, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Dewhirst and Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.  A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dewhirst and Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844, followed by burial in the Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
