Herbert K. Folley, a devoted husband, father, proud veteran, and lifelong New Englander, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026 at the age of 92.
Born on February 14, 1933, Herbert grew up with a strong sense of duty and service that would guide him throughout his life. He served honorably in the United States Air Force, where he was stationed in California during the Korean War. His time in the military shaped his character, steadfast, disciplined, and quietly courageous.
After returning home, Herbert built a long and successful career at Raytheon, where he worked for more than 35 years. His dedication, work ethic, and willingness to lend a hand earned him the respect and friendship of colleagues across decades.
Herbert was a loving husband to his wife of 64 years, Lorraine A. (Beliveau) Folley and a loving and proud father to his three sons David, Michael and Steven. He cherished every moment with his family, whether sharing stories, or simply being present with his warm, steady demeanor.
Outside of work and family, Herbert found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved camping, taking in the peace of nature and spending time outdoors. He was also an enthusiastic candlepin bowler, a pastime he enjoyed for many years and one that brought him fun, camaraderie, and a bit of friendly competition.
Herbert will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and steadfast presence. His legacy lives on through his children, family, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
