Henry G. Baillargeon, Sr.

Henry G. Baillargeon, Sr., 67, of Methuen, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Tufts Medical Center in Boston after complications with heart failure.

The son of the Late Henry J. and Fay A. (Lamphier) Baillargeon, Henry was born in Methuen on May 22, 1955.  He was a graduate of Mount Carmel Grammar School in Methuen and Tenney High School in Methuen, Class of 1972.  He went on to take many trainings and seminars for his trade to know everything he could for the career he had much passion for.  He went to work for pest control companies, such as Prism and Ecolab, before establishing his own pest control company, Baillargeon Pest Control of Methuen.  His son, Henry, Jr., went on to work with Henry for 12 years.  Henry loved so many things and always said “have hobbies, they are important, that’s why I have twenty”.  Henry loved all the Boston sports teams , trains, and anything regarding history. He loved bowling with his close friends that became family to him and travelling to Canada with Henry, Jr. for international bowling tournaments.  Henry loved honey bees, his Koi pond, swimming in his pool, going to the White Mountains with his family and his wife for their anniversaries during foliage in October, eating at the "The Common Man", being with his dog, Toby, and spending quality time with family and friends.  Most of all, he enjoyed helping people and being the “social butterfly” that he was.

Henry and his former spouse, Suzanne, had one child, Ashley Baillargeon together, who they adored.

In 1989, Henry met Christine (Brady) on a blind date in Boston, MA.  Henry and Christine went on to have two children, Jillian and Henry, Jr.

Predeceased by his wife Christine A. (Brady) Baillargeon, Henry is survived by his children, Jillian F. Baillargeon and her fiancé, Justin M. Stephens, Henry G. Baillargeon, Jr., and Ashley Baillargeon, a brother, Dennis Baillargeon and his partner, Kathy Johnson, of Maine, and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.

Henry was predeceased by his parents,  Henry and Fay Baillargeon and his sister, Dianne Baillargeon.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, May 18, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Dewhirst and Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.  A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, May 19, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Monica’s Church, 212 Lawrence St., Methuen, MA 01844.  Everyone, please meet at Church on Friday.  Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
