Helen Gioia Obituary

Helen H. (Slager) LaRose Gioia, 95, of Andover passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, October 4, 2021.

The daughter of the late Thomas and Ruth (Smith) Slager, Helen was born in Springvale, Maine on October 26, 1925. She was educated in schools in Maine and locally. She came to the Greater Lawrence area as a child with her parents. She was employed in the local textile industry, After her marriage, she raised her family. Helen resided in Andover for over the last 25 years. She enjoyed travelling with family and friends to many destinations.

Helen was the wife of the late Everett W. LaRose, Sr. and Alfred J. Gioia and is survived by two sons, Everett W. LaRose, Jr. and Brian M. LaRose, both of Andover, MA; seven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Helen was predeceased by her daughter, Gale Bush of Amesbury, MA.

Private Graveside Services will be held at a future date.
