Gratien D. Michaud

Gratien D. Michaud, age 55, died peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at his home in Lawrence.

The son of the late Leonide and the late Georgette (St. Onge) Michaud, Gratien was born on April 23, 1964 in St. Francis, New Brunswick, Canada.  He was proud to be the owner and proprietor of Vegas Construction.  His love of building shined through all his projects.  Everybody who knew Gratien loved him.  He would do anything for anyone.  His wife, his children and his grandson were the most important things in his life.  He was an avid golfer and loved being at Merrimack Valley Golf Course.  You could always find him with a huge smile on his face.  He was a member of the British Club in Lawrence.  He will be truly missed and never forgotten.  Everybody in Gratien’s life is deeply affected by his sudden passing.  We have truly lost a piece of our hearts.

Gratien is survived by his devoted, loving wife of 35 years, Nanci (Bergeron) Michaud; his loving son Eric Michaud of Lawrence; his daughter Stephanie Michaud of Lawrence; his grandson, Xavier Vegas Michaud of Lawrence; his six siblings, Jocelyn and her husband Gaston Raymond, Nicole and her husband Hermel Goulet, Serge Michaud and his wife France, Denise Michaud, Sandra and her husband Donald Goulet; his mother-in-law, Denise Bergeron Lemay and her husband Joe Lemay; his brother-in-law, Serge Bergeron and his wife Vicki Bergeron; his sister-in-law, Kathleen Bergeron; his sister-in-law, Christina Curtis and her husband Jason Curtis; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Gratien was predeceased by his parents, Leonide and Georgette Michaud, his brothers, Donald Michaud and Rodrigue Michaud, and his father-in-law, Polydore Bergeron.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to calling hours on Friday, February 28, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Dewhirst and Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.  A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Monica’ Church, 212 Lawrence St., Methuen, MA. Everyone, please meet at church.
