Frederick R. Kuehn – Methuen, MA
Frederick R. Kuehn age 95 of Methuen passed away peacefully on January 31, 2021 due to complications of Covid-19.
Fred was born in Lawrence, MA on February 22, 1925, the son of Rudolph C. and Meta A. (Greggerson) Kuehn. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1942 and was an Army Veteran of World War II, serving with the 289th Engineer Combat Battalion in Europe. He participated in the Ardennes/Alsace, Rhineland and Central European Campaigns attaining the rank of Sergeant. After the war he graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a BS in Business Administration and eventually went on to work at the Raytheon Company as a Data Processing Specialist. He retired in 1989 after nearly 30 years of service.
Fred was a Mason and member of Lawrence United Lodge, John Hancock Lodge, Merrimack Valley Fellowship, and the Scottish Rite Lodge. In his youth, he was a Boy Scout of Troop 2, Lawrence and the Turn Verein.
He was a member of the former Christ Presbyterian Church and the former The United Presbyterian Church serving as an elder and trustee and was treasurer for many years. He was also a member of the Men’s Fellowship. Later in life he attended The Christian Fellowship Church.
Fred was funny, loving and kind. He will be dearly missed by his family. He is survived by his wife of 69 years who adored him, Muriel H. Goller; son, Jeffrey and his fiancée, Phuong Tran; daughter, Krista Bajor and her husband, Peter; grandchildren: Sarah Oldfield and her husband, Brad; Eric Bajor and his wife, Brittany; and Jeffrey Bajor. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and was predeceased by his sister, Marion Hatton.
Services and burial will be private.
