Francis T. Sharkey, Jr

Francis T. Sharkey, Jr., passed away on April 25, 2022, at Lawrence General Hospital.  He was the son of Francis T. Sr., and Gertrude (Hodgson) Sharkey.

Frank, or Tom, as he was known to his family, was born on December 31, 1956 in Methuen and was a lifelong resident of Lawrence.  He was educated at Central Catholic High School and the University of Massachusetts Amherst, from whence he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.  He was employed by the Textron Corporation and the Internal Revenue Service and worked for almost thirty years for the Lawrence Public School System.

His family members include his sisters, Eileen G. of Lawrence, and Nancy and her husband David Ross of Naples, Florida, his nephew Nathan and niece Margaret Ross, two great-nieces, Madelyn and Emmylou Stearns, and a great-nephew, Anthony Ross, all of Naples, FL. Tom also leaves his cousins and their families with whom he shared so many happy memories and occasions.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Saturday April 30, 2022 from 9 am to 11 am at the Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen. A graveside service will follow the calling hours at 11:30 am on Saturday in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Waverly Road, N. Andover.
