Eugene P. Cusack, Jr

It is with deep sadness that the family of Eugene P. Cusack Jr., 56, of Newburyport announces his sudden passing.

Born on March 29, 1964 in Methuen, MA  the son of Eugene and Margarita Cusack, he lived in Methuen until he married Patricia Jean and moved to Newburyport and had three boys.

Known affectionately by many, Gene graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1982. When his boys were young he was very involved with their sports, whether it was coaching or cheering them along. He enjoyed the wind on his face while on the bike with friends and family.

Gene is survived by his wife Cheryl (Steele) Cusack of Lady Lake, Florida, and his first wife Patricia Cusack of Newburyport, as well as his children Collin Cusack and wife Kaitlin of Kensington, David Cusack of Newburyport, and Tyler Cusack of Newburyport. He leaves his mother Margarita Cusack of Methuen, and was predeceased by his father Eugene.  He also leaves his sister Patricia Cusack Cyr of Lawrence, his nephew Evan Cyr, and many friends, all of whom he called family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 2-4pm at the Winners Circle in Salisbury, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gene's memory to Newburyport Youth Hockey at 25 Storey Ave, PMB 157, Newburyport, MA 01950.
