Eldon J. Berthiaume, 94 of Lawrence passed away on Saturday January 19, 2019 at High Point Hospice House, Haverhill with his family by his side. Mr. Berthiaume was born and raised in Lawrence. He attended Sacred Heart School and was a 1942 graduate of Lawrence High School. Eldon was a member of the former Sacred Heart Parish, Lawrence. He served with the US Army during WW II with the 3rd Division in France and was captured as a POW. Before retirement, he worked as a supervisor at Western Electric Company, N Andover.
Eldon was predeceased by his wife, Corinne M. (Gallant) Berthiaume. His family members include his daughters, Ruth E. and her husband Peter Messina of Methuen, Carole A. and her husband David Bonin of Lawrence, Elaine M. Foley and her husband Brent Hymer of Lawrence and Lisa J. and her husband Richard Singleton of Tyngsboro. He also leaves his sisters, Gladys Dane of N. Andover and Della and her husband Leslie McDaniel of Bedford, NH and his brother Vincent and his wife Janet Berthiaume of Plaistow, NH as well as 7 grandchildren, 10 greatgrandchildren 1 great great grandaughter and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Eileen Gibeau and brother Clement Berthiaume.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday January 25, 2019 from 4pm to 7pm at the Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen. A Funeral Mass will be on Saturday January 26 at 10:00 am in St Michael Church, 196 Main St., N. Andover. Guests are asked to please meet at the church.
