Eileen N. Conrad

It saddens us to announce that after a lengthy illness, our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Eileen Conrad’s feisty spirit left us on April 14th, 2023. Eileen had a rocky start as a toddler suffering from severe lead poisoning from chewing on windowsills with lead paint. She only survived due to her father reading an article on lead paint toxicity symptoms in Readers Digest during the lead paint epidemic and to excellent medical care. 

Eileen went on to make her way in the world, living her life fully and raising her beloved son Mathew Conrad. Eileen leaves behind her son Mathew and his wife Nicole (LaValley) Conrad of Pelham NH. who gave her the greatest gift of being “Mimi“ to seven beautiful grandchildren, Annabelle, Caroline, Thomas, Louis, Raymond, Noah, and James who she adored. She also leaves behind her two brothers, James, and his wife Elizabeth (Brennan) Conrad and Douglas, and his wife Karen (O’Brien) Conrad all of Danvers, MA. 

Although her life was short and full of adversities, and through her failing health, she always retained her sense of humor and biting wit. Her fake threats of a “face slapping” were legendary and meted out with a hearty laugh to anyone she deemed deserving of one. She was generous to a fault and doted on her special needs cat Molly. Eileen Was predeceased by her mother and father James and Dorothy (Levesque) Conrad and her brother Daniel Conrad.

We love you “Leenie”. Your suffering is over, Rest In Peace.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday April 20, 2023 from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Dewhirst Boles Funeral Home 80 Broadway, Methuen. A Funeral Mass will be on Friday April 21 at 8:00 am at Sacred Heart Church, 321 South Broadway, Lawrence, MA 01843. (Family and guests are asked to meet directly at the church).
