Edward A. Miller

Edward A. Miller, 89 of Methuen passed away on Tuesday January 13, 2026 at Lawrence General Hospital. Ed was born in Lawrence on July 11, 1936. He was a 1953 graduate of Central Catholic High School and a 1957 graduate of Suffolk University. He was the owner and operator of the Central Coffee Shop of Lawrence and Wirtshaus Restaurant of Methuen. He was a 27-year member of the Methuen Community Development Board, past president of the Greater Lawrence Community Action Council, a charter member and past president of the Methuen Exchange Club and served on the board of directors of the Lawrence Savings Bank. Ed also served as athletic director of St. Monica School and was a fourth Degree Knight of Columbus, St. Monica’s Council.

Ed’s family members include his beloved life partner Patricia R. Bergeron of Methuen, his children Randall Miller of Ashland, NH, Patricia Richardson of Methuen, Cynthia Miller of Methuen and Marcia Miller of Methuen. Eddie also leaves his brothers Walter and his wife Maryann and James Miller both of N. Andover. He also leaves his grandchildren Stephanie Richardson, Tiffany Miller, and Michael Richardson as well as one great grandson Stephen Williams all of Methuen and several nieces and nephews. Ed was predeceased by his parents Edward and Ida (Sadzewicz) Miller and his brother John Miller.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday January 23, 2026 from 10 am to Noon at the Dewhirst Boles Funeral Home 80 Broadway, Methuen. Funeral services will follow the calling hours at Noon on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
