Dorothy M. Roy

Dorothy M. Roy, 72, of Andover, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at home surrounded by her family.

Dorothy, the daughter of the late Roland and Doris Theberge, was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on July 26, 1950. While in school Dorothy met the love of her life Ronald Roy and married on July 15, 1967. While working as a Layout operator at Lucent Technologies in North Andover, Dorothy grew her family and had two children, Gary and Derek.

She was an active member of New England Bible Church in Andover, where she attended as many events and bible studies as possible.  Dorothy always helped out at the church and donated her time to help others. She loved to stay busy with her hobbies of crochet, sewing and scrapbooking. With countless photo albums at her fingertips, it was evident that for Dorothy it was all about family.

Predeceased by her parents, Roland and Doris, her brothers, Chuckie Theberge, Tommy Theberge, Sonny Theberge and sister, Doreen Wermers. Dorothy is survived by her husband Ronald Roy, Son Gary Roy and his wife Marleny of Andover, Derek Roy and his wife Tamara, of Methuen, 8 grandchildren, Trevor, Connor, Matthew, Alyssa, Nathan, Brandon, Jayden and Justin. She is also survived by her brother Ron Theberge of Oregon and sisters, Sharon Poole of Salem NH, Joanne Bailey of Audubon Park NJ, Deb Smith of Haverhill, Sandra Perry of Sandown and countless nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to calling hours on Monday, January 30, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Dewhirst and Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. A Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday January 31,2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the New England Bible Church, 60 Chandler Rd. Andover, Massachusetts 01810.
