Dolores Ann (DeCesare) Pineau, 76, of Methuen, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.
The daughter of the late Arthur M. and Anne M. (Iannazzo) DeCesare, Dolores was born in Lawrence, MA on September 30, 1946. She was educated in Lawrence schools and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. Class of 1964. She also attended Fashion School in Boston. She married her late husband, Thomas N. Pineau, Jr. in April, 1968, who was a United States Navy career man. They resided at various naval bases in the United States, Cuba, Iceland and Japan. After his discharge, Dolores and the family returned to the Greater Lawrence area. After being a Military wife for 20 years, Dolores was employed as a secretary for the Internal Revenue Service at their Methuen and Andover Service Centers, from where she retired after 26 years of service. In her spare time, Dolores enjoyed the theater, ceramics, counted cross stitching, making home-made cards, and especially spending time with her family and friends. Dolores was a strong-willed Italian lady, being fiercely independent, and loved her children, grandchildren and soon-to-be great grandson.
Predeceased by her husband, Thomas N. Pineau, Jr., Dolores is survived by her two daughters, Tamara (Tammy) (Pineau) Pelletier and her husband, Roland C. Pelletier, Jr. of Derry, NH , and Michele (Pineau) Pelletier and her husband, Kevin Pelletier of Derry, NH; a granddaughter, Michaela (Pelletier) Martin and her husband, Zack Martin of Derry, NH; grandsons, Thomas Pelletier of Derry, NH and Braden Harrington of Derry, NH; a great grandson to be; a brother, Chris DeCesare of Methuen, MA; nieces, Linda (DeCesare) Morrissey of Derry, NH and Paula (DeCesare) Marini and her husband, Paul Marini of Londonderry, NH; a nephew, Chris M. DeCesare of Methuen, MA; and several cousins . Dolores was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Minnie DeCesare.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to calling hours on Monday, August 7, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Dewhirst and Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. A Funeral Mass will follow on Monday, August 7, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Monica’s Church, Lawrence Street, Methuen, MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Lawrence.
