Diane Beverly Stephens

Diane Beverly Stephens, born on July 10, 1957, passed away on January 18, 2025 in her home. Diane grew up in Reading, Massachusetts, and built a meaningful career as an accountant and office manager. Her life was marked by her devotion to family and her many passions.

Diane was the beloved mother of Chelsea Beverly (Stephens) Burke and mother-in-law to Jonathan Burke. She cherished her granddaughter June Rose Burke, who brought immense joy to her life. Diane also shared a deep bond with her life partner Glenn Dowling and their granddaughters Giuliana Dowling and Gia Gaglione.

She was the daughter of the late Raymond Stephens and Beverly (Hoffmann) Stephens. Diane is remembered fondly by her siblings: Mark Stephens and his wife Ellie, Gail (Stephens) Holbrook, and the late Doug Stephens and his late wife Linda. She also leaves behind ten nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.

Diane’s greatest joys were found in gardening, painting, dancing, and above all, being a mother. Her vibrant spirit shone through in everything she did, from nurturing her garden to expressing herself through art. She was a devoted fan of her beloved football team the Patriots, most Sundays you could find her in the kitchen cooking and watching the game. Those who knew Diane will remember her for the warmth she brought into their lives and her witty sense of humor.
