Debra J (Bernard) Swenson

Debra Jean (Bernard) Swenson, 68, of Lowell, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA.

The oldest child of the late Joseph H. and Janice (Downey) Bernard, of Andover, Debra was born in Lawrence, MA on March 8, 1955.  She grew up in Andover.  She has resided in various cities and towns throughout Massachusetts and also in Upstate New York.  Her favorite place where she resided was on Cape Cod.  She was employed for Raytheon Company for many years, and also as an auditor for many years at various hotels.  Debra enjoyed going to the beach, baking, travelling, spending time with family and friends, and doing arts and crafts.

Debra is survived by her oldest son, Mark Swenson of Lowell, and her youngest son, Brian Swenson and his wife Melanie Swenson and her granddaughter, Aaliyah Swenson, all of Methuen; her sister, Kelley Savastano and her husband, Al Savastano; her brothers, Stephen Bernard, Michael Bernard, and Scott Bernard and his wife Holly Bernard; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to calling hours on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Dewhirst and Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.  A Prayer Service will follow at 5:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
