It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David "Dave" Charles Higgins, who passed away on March 2, 2025, at Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence, MA, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on May 28, 1954, in Lawrence, MA, to Harold J. and Anne D. Higgins, and spent most of his life in the community where he grew up and formed lasting connections.
Dave was a proud graduate of Central Catholic High School, where he began his journey of personal growth and a love of learning. He had a lifelong passion for sports, particularly baseball and football, and was known for his enthusiasm, competitiveness, and support for his favorite teams. As a young man, Dave also earned the rank of Eagle Scout, a remarkable achievement that reflected his commitment, discipline, and strong sense of responsibility.
A true lover of laughter and music, Dave was an avid fan of The Three Stooges and The Beatles, always eager to share his playful, yet dark, sense of humor with friends. In his younger days, he would gather with close friends to write and record “colorful” songs, which he loved sharing with anyone who showed interest. Dave also had a deep passion for coin collecting, dedicating many years to amassing a remarkable collection that showcased his appreciation for history and the craftsmanship behind each piece.
