David Anthony

David Anthony – Lowell, MA

David Anthony age 65, It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden
passing of our brother David to stage 4 lung cancer.

Dave was born in Machias, ME to Marie Reed Anthony Gray. The family moved to Lawrence,
MA where he attended local schools and eventually joined the U.S. Navy for a short stint.

Dave moved to Boston, MA where he worked at various jobs, but his favorite job was working amid
the culture of Harvard Square hawking copies of “The Square Deal” espousing BOBO’s and
discount coupons to local businesses. He was a real ham and found his niche quoting poetry and
doing imitations of various personalities such as Wolfman Jack, Elvis, Jimmy Carter and Nixon
to name a few. He was quite the entertainer and enjoyed all the attention he attracted.

Dave eventually moved to Lowell, MA where he lived for approx. 25 years. His friendship knew
no bounds as he was a caregiver to his closest friends. Dave had a great love for his fellow man
and never met a stranger! He never married or had children of his own, but he loved his family
deeply and was much loved in return by his siblings, nieces and nephews.
Over the last five years Dave had found a renewed faith in God and assured his loved ones that
he knew that Jesus was walking through this trial of illness with him!

Dave leaves his siblings, a brother Dennis Anthony of Chelsea, MA, Donna Saba and partner
Bruce Caron of Lawrence, MA, Linda Anthony of Farmington, NH and Mary Stevens and
husband Roy of Haverhill, MA. He was predeceased by his stepfather, Robert Gray and Mother,
Marie Gray.

There are no calling hours or funeral services scheduled for Dave.
