Claude Brown, Sr. Obituary

Claude W. Brown Sr. of Lawrence Ma. Was called home on August 26, 2022, surrounded by his children and his Loving Partner Ernestine Harrison after a brief illness.

He was born on October 31, 1941, in Lowell Ma. He was the beloved Son of the Late John E. Brown and Myrna M. Mitchell and husband of the late Marjorie L. Edmunds.

Claude was educated in the Lawrence Ma. School system and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1959 where played JV & Captain of the Varsity Football and Varsity Track Team.

He worked for Manufacturing Company P. T. Breakline line for over twenty years, Western Electric for several years and Mesiti Asbestos Company.

After his retirement he worked for the Lawrence Boys & Girls Club where he enjoyed mentoring the children at the club.

In 1961 he was initiated into Elkdom of the Michael Neal Woods Lodge of the I.B.P.O.E.W at the retirement of this charter, he joined the Merrimack Valley Lodge 1586 of Lawrence Massachusetts. Claude held many officers, Grand Exalted Ruler. Multiple times was Exalted Ruler for several years, Leading Knight, Bursa for the Henry E. Kelly Council #2 of Boston Ma. Lastly, he was elected and commissioned President and First Vice-President of the New England States.  The Head Trustee for the Third Baptist Church

Claude will be remembered for his Love of Family, Knowledge of History of his favorite subjects, being able to remember birthdays, events through his life, being a kind, compassionate, gentleman, Role model for many who crossed his path, giving special nicknames for those family or friends and mostly for his Love of Dressing Sharp and being smooth when he entered a room on a special occasion.

Claude was preceded in death by his sister Marcia Jones, Son Clifton H. Ford Sr., Grandfather to Clifton H. Ford Jr.

Loving Father of: Robin Claudette Brown & Wife Sally A. Thayer, Brown, Kacey Brown & Husband Luis Velez, Rebecca Ann Brown, Claude W. Brown Jr. Of Lowell Mass.

Siblings: Barbara Brown, John Brown & his wife Gwendolyn of Tennessee, Richard Brown, Dorothy Sanchez, Kevin Brown & his wife Dorothy of Pooler Georgia, Carole Brown, and Lynda Brown & her husband John Yannalfo. A lifelong friend Glender J. Murphy(aka) “sis”

Loving Grandfather: Kiyana S.M. Brown, Nathaniel L. Brown, Chantivia M. Harris &(husband) Isom Harris, Jordan Cormier, Alexi Gonzalez &(husband) Dennis Gonzalez, Zachery Cormier, Alivia Cormier, Alexander Cormier, Melissa Ford, Linda Ford, Brandi Ford, Madison Brown, Whitney Laythemount and Mia Anttongeorgee.

Loving Great Grandfather: Claudayzia Brown, Julian Rivera, Nisaah S. Brown, Randy Scott, Neeko Reels, Nayije Neal, Isiah Stafford, Andrea Butler, Jaziah Gonzalez, Ja’Marri Gonzalez, and Jaizay Gonzalez.

Loving Great, Great Grandfather: Octavia Rivera and Armani Scott.

Children of Ernestine Harrison: Dallas L. Harrison wife Judy of Maryland, Frank L Harrison Sr. wife Brenda and William Harrison wife Clara of Lawrence Ma.

Grand Children: 5-Monique, Natasha, Frank Jr., Travis & Olivia
