Christine L. (Ashley) Foster Senftleben

Christine L. (Ashley) Foster Senftleben, 72, of Saugus, passed away at Mass. General Hospital on February 9, 2020 after a gallant two and one half year battle with ALS. 
The daughter of the late Robert C. and Elsie S. (Selin) Ashley, Christine was born in Beverly, MA on October 22, 1947. She was a graduate of Saugus High School and received her Bachelors Degree in education from Salem State College, now Salem State University. She was a professional banker at various branches of Eastern Bank until her retirement. She was a very active member of St. John's Episcopal Church of Saugus. She enjoyed traveling world wide with her husband Carl.
Christine was predeceased by her first husband, Steven D. Foster, a Saugus Police Officer, and is survived by her husband of 14 years, Carl H. Senftleben of Saugus; two daughters and their husbands, Alison C. and Jason Marshall of Boston, and Stephanie L. and Douglas Glassman of Dartmouth, MA; three grandchildren, Olive Senftleben of Webster, NY, Zachary and Lilliana Glassman of Dartmouth, MA; a step-son, Brad and Heather Senftleben of Webster, NY; a brother, William R. Ashley of Saugus, MA; nieces and nephews, and her beloved caregiver, Courtney Watt. 
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in St. John's Episcopal Church, 8 Prospect St., Saugus, MA 01906. Private burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Saugus.
