Celenia Ortiz Bobe

Celenia Ortiz Bobe 93, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025 at Life Care Center in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Celenia was born in Boqueron Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico to Vicente Ortiz and Marta Bobe.  She was the beloved wife of Jose Padilla Rodriguez for 71 years. The love for each other sets an example for many to follow.  

Celenia survived her husband and son Rene. She was the youngest of six children. She was fondly known as Lupe to her husband, Abuela by her grandchildren and Abuelita to her great grandchildren. She left behind her son Jose A. and his wife Hilvania, her grandsons Jose J. and wife Dayni, Christian and wife Heidi, and Emilio. Celenia also left behind eight loving great grandchildren Jose S., Yoel, Yzabelle, Amaya, Caly and Christian, Jr., Sarie and Brylee. She enjoyed having them around watching them laugh and play. Celenia left many friends and family members.  

Celenia was a stay home mom, she enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and preparing blankets while waiting for her grandchildren to be born.  Playing dominos and coloring were some of her favorite activities. Her sweet smile was like a bright light to all who knew her and those who saw her for the first time. Celenia you will be deeply missed by your family, friends and staff members at Life Care Center.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday January 23, 2025 from 3 pm to 5 pm at the Dewhirst Boles Funeral Home 80 Broadway, Methuen. Funeral services will follow the calling hours at 5:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen will be private.
