Catherine Cathie Grant

On Sunday, November 6, 2022, beloved daughter, Catherine (Cathie) Grant, age 63, passed away at her home in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Born in Salem, Massachusetts on March 23, 1959 to Carolyn B. and Albert E. Grant she spent much of her early childhood as a military dependent with her family, living in Massachusetts, Texas, Germany and Georgia with visits to dad’s duty stations in Florida and Hawaii. Cathie graduated from Savannah Vocational Technical High School in 1978 with a certificate in data processing which launched a long career starting out as a keypunch operator at Savannah Bank, which led to many years as a successful operations control manager at Fiserv Inc. ending in 2021.

Always quick with a smile and caring kindness, Cathie’s love for music and service to the Lord found her serving as a worship leader in churches she attended. She loved to serve in a prison ministry in Gwinnett County under Barnabas Ministries which serves in the rehabilitation of prisoners. This had the positive effect of making acquaintances who she would see later after they were released.

Cathie is survived by her father, Albert and brother Kevin.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours at Granite United Church,1 Sand Hill Road Salem, NH on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 10:30am. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am at the church. Graveside services and burial in Hamilton Cemetery will be private for family.
