Carolyn J. Merrill

Carolyn Joyce Merrill, 77, of Methuen, MA passed away on February 12, 2021 at Home with her beloved Husband by her side.

Born August 3, 1943 in Lawrence, MA., she graduated from Methuen High School and  worked at Raytheon Company until having children. Carolyn spent her time as a homemaker, taking care of her husband and three children. She enjoyed hosting all of the family gatherings, watching her grandchildren and great grandchild play, and cooking meals for everyone to enjoy.

Her family members include her loving husband, Vernon Merrill, her sister, Janice Cahill of New Hampshire, her three children Robert Merrill of Florida, Lisa Debreceni and her significant other, Fernando Melo of Methuen, Todd Merrill and his significant other Denise Connerty of Methuen, her grandchildren, William “Billy” Debreceni and his wife Denise Melo- Debreceni, Ashley Debreceni, Erica Debreceni, Cory Merrill, Nianna Merrill, Nakiah Merrill, Nevin Merrill, and Mason Merrill, and her great grandchild, Noah Debreceni, as well as several in-laws, nieces, nephews and loving family members. She was predeceased by her parents, Aldwin “Barney” Russell and Marian (Whatmough) Russell.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday February 19, 2021 from 9am to 11am at the Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen.  A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 11:00 am on Friday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
