Carol Ann (Scholz) St. Louis, 88 of Methuen passed away on Saturday July 18, 2020 at The Nevins Nursing & Rehab Center, Methuen. Carol was born in Lawrence on December 1, 1931 to Carl F. Scholz, Jr and Anne E. Markey. She was a 1949 graduate of Edward F. Searles High School and was also a graduate of Northern Essex Community College. For many years and before retirement, Carol worked in banking with National Shawmut Bank of Boston through all of its mergers and retired from Bank of America.
Carol was a longtime active member and communicant of Grace Episcopal Church of Lawrence where she served as chair of the Sunday school teachers, historian representative to the diocese executive board, served on the altar guild and was a co-founder of the needlepoint guild. Carol also sang with the Andover Choral Society and was a member of the American Needlepoint Guild.
Carol was predeceased by her parents, her step-father Michael Cestrone and her husband Arthur F. St. Louis. Her family members include her sister Karen Stone and her husband Mark Stone, her nephews Jamie Varmette and his wife Amy and their daughter Sophia Rose Varmette and Michael Varmette and his wife Ashley as well as St. Louis family nieces, nephews and cousins and her brother Michael Cestrone and his wife Diane
Family and friends are invited to an hour of visitation on Thursday August 6, 2020 from 10 to 11 am at the Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 11:00 am on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 51 Blossom Street, Boston, MA 02114 or to the Society of St. Margaret, 50 Harden Hill Road, Duxbury, MA 02331.
