Carol Ann Neff

Carol Ann (Fargen) Neff , 85, of Methuen passed away peacefully on February 24, 2021. Carol was predeceased by her husband Bruce with whom she shared 60 years of marriage. Born in Methuen on July 19,1935, she was the daughter of the late Bertha and James Fargen. Carol graduated from Searles High School class of 1953. Carol worked at Western Electric until she took on her favorite role as full-time mother.

Carol loved spending time in her award-winning gardens, reading and traveling -- especially the many trips with her grandchildren to Disney World. She enjoyed vacations with her husband to Vegas where, in her mind, she became a champion penny-slots player. She always looked forward to Sundays, spending time with her family, sharing meals and fun. Carol was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a caring neighbor. She will always be remembered by her contagious smile and great laugh. Her smile and laugh will live through photos and memories. She was one great lady. “Love you Carol.”

Carol is survived by her two daughters, Heidi and Susan, and her two sons, Michael and Stephen, and Stephen’s wife Sue (Princess). Carol loved being a grandmother: she will be lovingly missed by Shawn, Elyse and Allison. Carol is survived by her sister Shirley and her son Mark, and several nieces, nephews’ cousins and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Carol was predeceased by her Brother James Fargen.

The Family would like to thank Elder Services, Right at Home, Mary Immaculate Adult Day Health and all the many caring home health aides who took care of Carol with compassion, dignity, and respect throughout her long illness.
