Brenda J. (Kent) Moran

Brenda J. (Kent) Moran, 70, of Lawrence, passed away peacefully at Penacook Place in Haverhill on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

The daughter of the late Raymond and Theresa (Ouellette) Kent, Brenda was born in Lawrence on January 16, 1951.  She was educated in Lawrence schools and was a graduate of Lawrence High School.  She was employed for many years at Grieco Brothers and later was employed at the Andover Service Center of the Internal Revenue Service, from where she retired.  Brenda was a lifelong resident of Lawrence.  In her pastime, she enjoyed crocheting, computer games, telling stories to family and friends, and shopping.  Above all, she enjoyed being with her family, and was an animal lover, and enjoyed feeding animals.

Brenda was predeceased by her husband, Gerald F. P. Moran, with whom she shared 50 years of marriage, until his passing in September, 2019, and is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Blanchette and late husband Walter W. Blanchette, and son-in-law, David J. Povilaitis of Lawrence; Christina Bourque and her husband Tim Bourque of Lawrence; grandchildren, Sarah Blanchette, Stephany Povilaitis, Shawn Povilaitis, David Povilaitis, Ana Bourque, Jason Bourque and Johnathan Moran all of Lawrence; a sister, Karen Kent; close neighbors; her dog, Scruffy and several cats.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to calling hours on Monday, January 17, 2022, at the Dewhirst and Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  A Funeral Service will take place at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.  For directions and online condolences, please visit www.dewhirstbolesfuneral.com
