Obituary

Brenda M. Herdegen of Methuen, MA born in Boston, MA to Laura Soule in 1939. Raised in Vermont by Ruth and Jackson Benoit and attended local schools.

A military veteran having served and honorably discharged from both Women’s Army Corps and U.S. Navy in the hospital corps, both home and abroad. She worked in local healthcare facilities as an L.P.N.

She was predeceased by her husband Charles E. Herdegen to whom she was married for 39 years, and her sister Molly (Mary) Heald. Brenda is survived by three children, Kelly Smith and her husband Brian of Sandown, NH, Shaun Herdegen and his wife Diane of Methuen, Stephen Herdegen and his partner Caitlin Malcuit of Haverhill.  She also leaves her well-loved grandchildren Alana Smith, Joseph, Shannon, and Erin Herdegen.  Her sister Jacqueline Bilodeau and her husband Louis of Vermont, siblings John Crane, Sue Adams, Andrew Crane, Beth Crane, Deborah Modde, and several nieces and nephews as well as her best friends Rosanne Roy, and Jean Bergeron of Methuen, and her special cousin, Claire McCarthy of Lawrence and her beloved pug and loyal companion, Molly.
