Brenda L. Fitzgerald

Brenda Fitzgerald, beloved wife, mother, sister and aunt passed peacefully surrounded by her family on February 25, 2022 at age 61.

Brenda, born February 10, 1961, grew up in Salem, NH before meeting the love of her life in 1978 and moving to Methuen. She loved the seashore and stole away to the sun and sand whenever possible; particularly Daytona Beach. She enjoyed tropical flowers and could always be counted on to have Hibiscus flourishing on her sunny deck every summer.

A loving caregiver, Brenda worked at Nevins Nursing Home for over 30 years before retiring to happily look after her darling niece, Catherine; joined later by her second niece, Katelyn. She was finally blessed last year with her first grandchild, Rhiannon.

Brenda is preceded by her mother, Carol King. She is survived by her loving husband, David; son Shaun; daughter in law Sabrina; grandchild Rhiannon; her sister Christa Dewald; brother-in-law Mark; nieces Catherine and Katelyn; brother Richard Bless; sister-in-law Kathy; father-in-law James Fitzgerald and mother-in-law Barbara. She also leaves her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jim and Fran Fitzgerald and their son Jeff.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday March 4, 2022 from 4 pm to 6 pm at the Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen. Funeral services will follow the calling hours at 6:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to High Pointe Hospice House, 360 North Ave., Haverhill, MA 01830.
