Bernadette D. (Dubois) Carney – Methuen, MA
Bernadette D. (Dubois) Carney, 93, of Methuen MA, passed away peacefully on Monday June 28, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family.
The daughter of the late Henry and Lucina (Ouellette) Dubois, Bernadette was born in 1928 in Methuen and was educated in Methuen and Lawrence. Bernadette held multiple jobs outside the home but her passion was being a mother and homemaker. She was a role model and support system to her eight children. Her joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her favorite times were special occasions when the family gathered at her home. Nothing made her happier than a house full of family … the more the merrier. Her eyes would light up at the sight of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bernadette was predeceased by her husband, Ralph T. Carney. They were married for 45 years. She is survived by her children Anne Kelleher and husband Dennis; Eileen LaMonica and husband Joseph; John Carney and wife Mary; Mark Carney and wife Jean; Elizabeth Carney; Peter Carney; Pauline Everson and husband Thomas. She is also survived by her many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews as well as her sisters, Cecile Bourassa, Jeanne LaTulippe, Rose Michaud, Gertrude Iannazzi, Marcelle Thompson, and Madeleine Giroux.
She was also predeceased by her daughter, Margaret Carney; brothers Lucien, Charles, Alexander, Gerard, Joseph, Henry and Leo; as well as her sisters, Theresa Burbine, Anne Beauchesne and Pauline Zolubos.
