Barbara Marion Sevigny (Rhodes) – Barefoot Bay, FL

Born 13 Mar 1940 Barbara Marion Rhodes to James L. Rhodes & Stella Rhodes (former Miss Filip).  She grew up in Methuen, MA and graduated from Tenney High School in 1957.

Married Charles Edward Sevigny 26 December 1961.  The family lived in Pelham, NH until 1979 when they moved to Gainesville, FL. following a tragic house fire.

At the time of her death, she was residing in Barefoot Bay, FL. Since 2001 following the death of her husband in 2000.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.  She is survived by her son Arthur Edward Sevigny and daughter-in-law Maureen Sevigny, of Tualatin, OR, daughter Deborah Jean Souza and son-in-law Kevin Souza of Manchester NH, granddaughter Samantha Erin Miller and her husband Tyler Miller a great-grandson Owen Alexander Miller.

Her hobby and life passion was breeding and showing Collies and later Shelties.  Well known for her quality Shelties in both temperament and breed characteristics.

Calling hours are Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 5 – 8:00 PM at Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.  A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.  Burial will follow the service in Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.  Please visit www.dewhirstbolesfuneral.com for directions or to sign the online guest book.
